It has been enjoyed by royalty, soldiers, major historical figures and rowdy pub dwellers. It’s been used as currency and medicine, and it played a dark role in sacrificial ceremonies, World War II and slavery. Join us as we delve into the fascinating past and tantalizing present of one of the planet’s most beloved foods.
