Discovering the History of Glider Warfare

World War II ushered in radical new technology. One of the most fascinating was the use of gliders in warfare, developed to transport soldiers directly to the battlefield. Used with paratroopers, soldiers delivered by gliders were able to seize and hold strategic points. This course looks at how a technology pioneered by Germany was used by US and British allies to change the modern battlefield into a war of maneuver.
