Battle of the Atlantic during World War 2

The Battle of the Atlantic during World War II  changed warfare in dramatic ways. The battle began in 1939 and lasted through May 1945 as an impressive example of new technology, new tactics, and new weapons in the battle for control of the Atlantic.  The struggle that Great Britain  and the USA had against Germany was a fight for world supremacy and the Battle of the Atlantic is the showpiece of that struggle.
