Tom and Dick Smothers co-hosted one of television’s most groundbreaking television programs of the 1960s. With an eye toward political commentary, pop culture, and rising stars, they ridiculed the Establishment, protested the Vietnam War, and supported the counterculture even as they themselves were clean-cut, mainstream moderates. Battling constantly with CBS censors, they on occasion outraged everyone from the network to the viewers to the US President. Rediscover their lives, their personalities, and their comedic talent that made them a favorite with all ages. [2 Sessions]
