Latin American Women: Political Achievements Through Their Civic Space

March 20 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

$45

In the history of Latin America, women’s revolutionary struggles have been behind significant political and cultural transformations. More recently, millions of women across the region have marched to protect, for example, their reproductive rights and make their voices heard. As a result of such collective efforts, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico have legalized abortion. Discussions will include other similar gains and how civic space plays a vital role in building movements and democracy.
