George Inness, Jr. was an important figure in America’s late Gilded Age. Son of famed Hudson River School painter, he established an artists’ colony in Tarpon Springs and created eight large paintings for his beloved Church of the Good Shepherd Universalist Church. Today the church is a pantheon for 12 of his paintings. This program, presented at the UUC Church in Tarpon Springs, introduces attendees to the arts legacy of George Inness, Jr.
