Jaune Quick-to-See Smith is a Native American artist, curator, educator, and political activist. Growing up in poverty, she draws inspiration from her Native world view and comments on American Indian identity, land and nature, and government oppression. This class explores how Jaune Quick-to-See Smith addresses the lifestyle and lore of her ancestors, while placing it in context of issues facing Native Americans today.
