Gender and Sport

This lecture will present an overview of how gender difference and gender disparity are lived out within sports at all levels. Perspectives discussed will be of a global and national nature. We will briefly discuss the disparity of salaries, job opportunities, sexualization of athletes, and sponsorship of athletes, gender based violence, and specific athletic opportunities as they stand in the world today.
