Do the St. Pete Shuffle

Join other OLLI members at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club, for a little how-to, a little history, and a lot of shuffleboard. At its peak in the 1940s, the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard club boasted nearly 7,000 members. After a revitalization that began in 2005 it is again one of the city’s most beloved pastimes. Come see for yourself why the sport is a hit with both the young and the young-at-heart. Learn about the history of the sport and the club, study the rules, delve into basic and advanced strategy, and finish off with a tournament with all of your OLLI classmates. Each class will feature instruction followed by guided practice. Classes will take place at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club (559 Mirror Lake Dr. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33701).
