Cultural History of Motherhood

September 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

$25

Sociology opens our eyes to new ways of seeing the world. This lecture introduces students to the foundations of Mother Studies: a field devoted to the issues, experiences, topics, history, and culture of mothers, mothering, and motherhood from a sociological perspective. M/others occupy a specific place as creators and doers in personal, political, and social spheres. Together, we will explore the women founders that helped to establish this new field of study.
